Ásta Kristín graduated from The Reykjavík School of Visual Arts, textiles programme, in 2024. She uses textiles and various textiles methods in her works, and especially enjoys weaving. Ásta Kristín’s works are often quiet and composed, based on vegetation, shapes and colours from nature. Details, textures and close-ups are prominent in Ásta Kristín’s work. She mostly uses natural fabrics, and enjoys giving previously used materials a new purpose.
